Resumen: The speed and intensity that we are witnessing in the changes that are ocurring at the end of this century impose a compelling need to rethink the paradigms that provided a foundation to social security systems in the world... The Permanent Interamerican Committee on Social Security, as the ruling and executive body for CISS, met yearly in Mexico City during this three-year period. CPISS's Executive Commission took over the activities that the By-laws designated. Therefore, we wish to leave on the record the outstanding performance of all its members and the support we have receivedfrom them.
